Job Description

Position Description:

The  School Psychologist is directly responsible for the psychological assessment of academic, cognitive, social-emotional and behavioral domains utilizing problem-solving and standardized evaluations. The School Psychologist monitors the completion of case study evaluations and participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences and problem-solving meetings designing systems, programs and services that maximize students social, emotional, and educational success. In collaboration with families, students, staff, and communities, the School Psychologist promotes effective educational environments. The school psychologist will split their time between two ICEF schools.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Director of Special Education.

 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Cycle: 11 months

Salary: Commensurate with experience ($90,000-$109,000)

Essential Functions:

COUNSELING & SERVICES 25%

  • Provide individual and group DIS or ERICS counseling per IEP requirements.
  • Integrate psychological services into the classroom environment as appropriate.
  • Provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.

EVALUATIONS & ASSESSMENTS 25%

  • Monitor the completion of special education evaluations and participate in IEP conferences and problem-solving meetings.
  • Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide insight in the development of functional assessments and behavior intervention plans.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students and participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT 25%

  • Evaluate and/or translate research into practice and understand research design and statistics in sufficient depth to plan and conduct investigations and program evaluations for improvement of services.
  • Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving in the classroom.

SUPPORT SERVICES 15%

  • Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.
  • Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families.
  • Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff, parents, and/or community.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 10%

  • Participate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis including recertification in CPI, workshops, in-services, professional reading materials, SELPA trainings, and/or other trainings provided by ICEF.
  • Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data.
  • Participate in building or program activities and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

●  Valid  CTC credential in School Psychology

●  Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) knowledge - preferred

●  At least two-years of related experience in the field of education

●  Skilled in Google, Word, Excel and Power Point – preferred

●  Knowledge in special education law, behavioral mental health, and learning disabilities.

●  Must show proof and maintain a clear TB, DOJ and FBI Clearance. 

●  Must provide documentation of eligibility to work in US.
