LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading CPG organization in the food and beverage space that is seeking a Procurement Analyst for a three-month contract to cover a maternity leave.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting procurement operations by analyzing purchasing trends, streamlining order processes, and ensuring supply continuity across multiple regions. You’ll work cross-functionally to improve sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and support cost-saving initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.
This is an onsite position in Schaumburg, IL with potential to extend or convert for the right candidate!

Procurement Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyze purchasing data and generate daily performance reports to inform supply chain and procurement decisions
• Process and track purchase requisitions for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods across assigned regions
• Resolve supply disruptions and coordinate with suppliers to identify and implement alternative sourcing options
• Respond promptly to internal and vendor inquiries, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
• Manage returns, credits, and non-conformance issues to support cost-effective operations
• Investigate item discontinuations or shortages and propose viable product substitutions
• Maintain procurement system accuracy, ensuring up-to-date and reliable data across platforms
• Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate on initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier performance
• Contribute to training and onboarding efforts for new team members

Procurement Analyst Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Food Science, or a related field preferred
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within the CPG, food, or manufacturing sectors strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Understanding of procurement compliance, food safety standards, and supplier
