Description

Description

We’re seeking a passionate and people-centered HR Generalist to be the heartbeat of our culture—someone who doesn’t just fill roles, but finds individuals who will thrive within and elevate the Salience experience for both our team and the patients we serve. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on recruiting and talent acquisition .

As a champion of our values, this individual will lead the charge in identifying, attracting, and onboarding talent that aligns with and enhances our culture. In addition to recruitment, this role supports key HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management , and employee engagement .

The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and relational , with a deep passion for people, a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law, and the ability to serve as a true culture ambassador in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, ensuring every hire is a cultural and professional fit.
  • Foster a positive and values-driven workplace environment.
  • Support employees and managers with day-to-day HR needs and guidance.
  • Promote employee engagement and development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and HR policies.
  • Continuously reflect and reinforce the Salience mission through all people processes.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, resourceful, and ready to dive in —whether it's leading strategic hiring conversations or stuffing welcome packets for new hires. You’re the kind of person who sees what needs to be done and makes it happen. No task is too small, and no challenge is too big.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • Own and drive the entire recruitment lifecycle—from crafting compelling job postings to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Roll up your sleeves to build and maintain a strong employer brand, ensuring every candidate touchpoint reflects our values and culture.
  • Partner with hiring managers to assess workforce needs, write effective job descriptions, and align hiring strategies.
  • Source top talent using every available method: online platforms, career fairs, college partnerships, and internal referrals.
  • Personally conduct phone screens and interviews, schedule panels, coordinate logistics, and support final hiring decisions.
  • Administer assessments, manage background/reference checks, and run onboarding through Paylocity or other HRIS systems.
  • Keep our applicant tracking system organized, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
  • Attend and represent the company at recruitment events—you are the face of Salience to potential team members.

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Lead engaging and values-driven new hire orientations; make each new team member feel welcomed, prepared, and excited.
  • Handle all onboarding logistics: paperwork, benefits enrollment, training schedules, and first-week support.
  • Provide seamless offboarding support, including conducting exit interviews and managing system terminations.

HR Operations & Employee Relations

  • Be the go-to resource for day-to-day HR needs and a reliable support system for employees and managers alike.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including I-9s, licenses, certifications, and immunization logs.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing—accuracy and confidentiality are key.
  • Support employee relations by fielding questions, clarifying policies, and finding solutions with empathy and fairness.

Compliance & Benefits Administration

  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state employment laws, and internal policies.
  • Assist with HR audits, documentation reviews, and maintain HR records with diligence.
  • Support open enrollment, benefits changes, and employee communications around total rewards.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Manage the People Engagement inbox and respond with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with HR reporting, internal documentation, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a reliable backup for administrative tasks like maintaining directories and processing exit surveys.

Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment laws, HR regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition, with the ability to identify, attract, and secure top talent across a variety of roles.
  • Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS)—preferably Paylocity—or similar platforms; comfortable navigating digital tools and systems.
  • Strong background in employee relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting both employees and managers through sensitive issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to build trust, influence decisions, and represent the company with professionalism.
  • Skilled in negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making, particularly in fast-paced or evolving situations.
  • High level of discretion and integrity; able to handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability—takes initiative, follows through, and gets the job done without needing to be asked twice.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
