What You'll Do:
Litigation: Conduct sophisticated litigation work, including case analysis, legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in court.
Client Communication: Provide legal advice to clients, keeping them informed and empowered throughout the legal process.
Discovery: Manage substantial California discovery, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
Negotiation: Utilize your strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and staff members to provide exceptional legal services.
Business Development: Participate in the firm's marketing efforts to build your client base and contribute to the firm's growth.
What You'll Need:
California State Bar Membership: Membership in the California State Bar is required.
Legal Experience: Experience providing legal advice and conducting legal research.
Litigation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
California Employment Law Knowledge: Experience with California employment laws and regulations or a willingness to learn is required.
Maritime Law Interest: An interest in maritime law is preferred but not required.
Deposition Skills: Deposition taking skills and an interest in developing these skills.
Local Connection: Must be local or commute-friendly to Long Beach.
On-Site Presence: On-site work is required, complemented by the firm's strong remote work capabilities.
