Momento USA is a global technology consulting, talent acquisition, and creative development firm that addresses clients' most pressing needs and challenges. We are currently looking for a Lead WordPress eCommerce Development .

Role: WordPress eCommerce Development Lead

Location: San Antonio, TX (Remote Onsite needed when require)

Contract: Long-term

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development of custom WordPress-based eCommerce solutions (primarily WooCommerce and Dokan) for high-traffic, scalable websites.
• Architect, develop, and maintain advanced WordPress themes, plugins, and integrations tailored to business needs.
• Oversee a team of developers, assigning tasks, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product owners to deliver user-centric, conversion optimized eCommerce experiences.
• Optimize site speed, performance, and SEO, using modern techniques and tools.
• Manage and implement secure payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Stay current with WordPress core updates, plugin compatibility, and evolving eCommerce trends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
• Coordinate deployment processes and manage version control (Git) across development, staging, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot critical site issues and ensure uptime, especially during product launches and peak traffic events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of WordPress development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Deep expertise in WooCommerce, Dokan, and related ecosystem tools.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, React, HTML5, Tailwind, and CSS3/SASS.
• Experience with REST APIs, custom API development, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress block page builder and performance optimization tools.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
