We're looking to hire a Practice Manager for an independently owned veterinary hospital in Ashland, OR!

Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, including facility maintenance, equipment management, and ensuring an OSHA compliant, efficient, and welcoming environment.
  • Financial Management: Oversee healthy budgeting, business growth and all budget oversight and management including financial reporting.
  • Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of veterinary professionals. Follow all relevant HR laws. Implement and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize servant leadership style techniques to encourage a strong, happy team.
  • Inventory Control: Supervise inventory management, collaborating with designated leads to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. Should be knowledgeable in all areas of Inventory Management.
  • Client Relations: Enhance client satisfaction through exceptional service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Identify and implement marketing strategies to promote services, including leveraging same-day appointment availability and increasing community awareness.

Preferred and required criteria:

  • Education: 
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: 
    • 3-5 years of management experience is required.
    • Experience in veterinary medicine is preferred, but candidates with management experience in other industries will be considered.
    • A CVPM is desired but not required, however, we would love to help a motivated individual grow into this designation!
