Job Description

Major law firm is seeking a Tax savvy Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its New York team.

Candidate will have the following: 3+ years of tax experience within a major law firm setting experience (experience will be current or very recent) ; A keen understanding of relevant tax law ; Ability to structure and negotiate transactions to meet clients' business objectives in a tax-efficient manner.

Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired) ; LL.M preferred in Taxation or Estate Planning ; Strong research, verbal & written communication skills ; NY Bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Structuring and negotiating transactions to meet clients' business objectives in a tax-efficient manner.

Working closely with individuals or businesses to develop strategies that minimize their tax liabilities while ensuring they stay within the boundaries of the law.

Assisting clients with their tax planning and compliance.

Providing practical guidance that enables our clients to navigate the maze of changing tax and accounting rules.

Representing clients on various matters including Bankruptcy and insolvency workouts and other capital restructurings, Cross-border transactions and international tax planning, Investment fund formation and structuring, Master limited partnerships (MLPs), Mergers, acquisitions and dispositions (taxable and tax-free).

Salary: $ 200,000.00 315,000.00 Per Year
