Expedite Inc / Grady Health System is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer with Heavy Datacenter Experience for a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) position . The selected candidate will be responsible for network security, routing, switching, and wireless security within a large-scale healthcare data center environment.

This role will focus primarily on advanced security solutions , supporting the scaling of a 1.25 million sq. ft. high-tier data center by 2028. The candidate must have extensive datacenter networking experience , with a strong background in Cisco, Juniper, and security implementations .

Responsibilities:

• Network Security & Infrastructure:
  

  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Firepower FTD/FMC, Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco DNA Center, and Cisco Umbrella .
    
  • Implement and enforce micro and macro segmentation strategies for enhanced security.
    
  • Optimize WAN, SD-WAN infrastructure for improved performance and reliability.
    
  • Secure access to switches, routers, wireless networks, and endpoints using Cisco ISE, TACACS, ACLs .
    

• Datacenter & Wireless Security:
  

  • Manage and support large-scale data center networking .
    
  • Implement and optimize Wi-Fi 6, 802.1x authentication, EAP, TLS for secure wireless environments.
    
  • Troubleshoot wireless network issues and optimize performance.
    

• Routing & Switching:
  

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot EIGRP, OSPF, BGP routing protocols.
    
  • Implement network zoning and policy management.
    

• Healthcare-Specific Network Security:
  

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry security regulations .
    
  • Support network growth in a highly regulated healthcare environment .
    

• Security & Performance Optimization:
  

  • Address vulnerabilities and implement best security practices .
    
  • Monitor, analyze, and enhance network security in collaboration with security teams.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter networking and security .
  
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco networking equipment (Firepower, FMC, ISE, ASA Firewalls, Umbrella, DNA Center).
  
• Strong experience in wireless security solutions (Wi-Fi 6, 802.1x, EAP, TLS).
  
• Advanced routing/switching expertise in EIGRP, OSPF, BGP .
  
• Hands-on experience with WAN, SD-WAN, and network zoning .
  
• Experience in large-scale healthcare networks is a plus.
