As a Senior Financial Analyst – Programming FP&A, your responsibility is to conduct quantitative analyses of our $11 billion annual video programming spend and to work on other complex financial projects. Your focus will be on short and long-term financial planning and analysis of business operations, aiming to measure and forecast future business performance. You will develop a strong understanding of business processes and data flows to perform ad-hoc financial impact analysis. In this position, you have the ability to make positive financial contributions to the company by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring a consistently high level of reporting integrity.

WHAT OUR SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYSTS ENJOY MOST

• Analyzing complex financial data and extracting and defining relevant information; interpreting data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or projecting a financial probability.
• Planning and conducting complex studies to determine the cost of business activities.
• Recommending budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures.
• Developing financial reports and dashboards for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Reviewing costs and performing cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
• Performing complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various accounting systems.
• Interpreting financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions, including presenting budget results and monthly variances to senior leadership.
• Assisting in the Programming Assurance process and will be responsible for operational readiness signoff for smaller programming contract renewal activity.
• Using various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and/or reports.
• Performing special projects as needed and carrying out other duties as requested by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

• 4+ years of Senior accountant, financial statement, or financial analysis
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or statistics or equivalent experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to analyze and interpret information
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to problem-solve and model/forecast operation activity
• Knowledge of advanced accounting theory and procedures
• Knowledge of operating and capital financial statements
