Role reports to: Senior Director, Global Tax Accounting & Reporting

Location: Kenvue Global HQ in Summit, NJ

Travel: 5-10%

Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $119,000 to $205,850 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the tax accounting processes including but not limited to quarterly and annual US GAAP consolidated tax provision, related footnotes and other internal/external disclosures
• Lead three-person team with two direct reports – Senior Tax Analyst and Tax Manager – ensuring the professional and technical development of the team members, including providing timely coaching, candid feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Coordinate with U.S. Direct Tax Compliance and international tax teams, and Regional Tax Planning teams to manage forecasts on direct tax cash flows, effective tax rate, and uncertain tax positions
• Manage internal team and co-source provider during quarterly and annual periods for legal entity reporting and consolidation of effective tax rate and tax balance sheet, while updating Senior Tax Director on progress and roadblocks
• Collaborate with Controller’s Group regarding global tax accounting issues during quarterly and annual close periods to ensure tax reporting requirements are met timely from journal entries to external reporting
• Identify opportunities and risks for process improvement and automation in tax accounting and reporting in collaboration with Tax Technology team and co-source providers including implementation for tax law changes or new accounting standard updates
• Partner with Regional Tax Planning, Transfer Pricing and Tax Counsel groups on major global transactions and controversies
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and Regional Tax Planning teams. 
• Create strategies to minimize risk and capitalize on changes to tax legislation. Lead global effective tax rate modeling for proposed and final U.S. and foreign tax legislations including Pillar II

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Accounting/Finance, or any related business is required
• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as MBA, Master’s in Taxation, CPA is required
• A minimum of eight years of experience in finance/accounting or related business is required
• A minimum of five years of experience leading teams, coaching and mentoring staff and manager
• Prior experience in ASC-740 – Accounting for Income Taxes, including working on multi-national consolidated tax provisions is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required
• ONESOURCE Tax Provision software experience is required
• Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and promote collaboration, including being proficient in framing highly technical matters in a concise manner to business partners and senior management
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

• OneStream and SAP experience is preferred
• Experience working with co-source provider is preferred
