Nooks is hiring a Principal Security Specialist/Facility Security Officer to lead security operations at our new Huntsville, Alabama facility. This customer-facing role supports programs at all classification levels and requires strong communication skills. Ideal candidates have experience as a CPSO, AFSO, or PSR, and have served as a COMSEC custodian.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all security operations at the Huntsville facility, including personnel, program, and physical security, in compliance with NISPOM, DoDM, and customer requirements.
• Manage classified information systems, access control, security education, Insider Threat, and incident reporting programs.
• Conduct and support security assessments, self-inspections, investigations, and government audits.
• Serve as the primary security liaison with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external partners; support business expansion into new secure facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3–5 years' experience in facility and program security, with knowledge of NISPOM, SCI procedures, and RMF compliance.
• Relevant certifications (ISP®, PSP®, SFPC) and training (ICD 705, TEMPEST, or Site Security Manager).
• Active membership in NCMS, ASIS International, or similar professional organizations.

ELIGIBILITY + CLEARANCE 

You must be a U.S. Citizen with Top Secret/SCI eligibility current within the past 5 years .
