Please note: This is not a fully remote position. You must be able to work on-site in Cottage Grove, WI, as needed. Relocation assistance is not available at this time.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Controlling Support:
Gain a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and how accounting integrates across all functions.
Support accounts payable processes, including SAP data entry, check processing, and ACH transactions.
Assist with accounts receivable functions, such as payment application for lockbox AR, ACH, and credit cards.
Learn and apply credit card processing standards and PCI compliance regulations.
Understand the financial structure of the organization, including how MM, QM, Inventory, and SD modules impact accounting.
Troubleshoot and resolve system or process issues.
Create and maintain cost centers, profit centers, and general ledger accounts as needed.
Configure and manage account determinations (OBYC table).
Provide accounting process support and offer best practice guidance based on GAAP standards within SAP.
Utilize Report Painter (GR55) to develop financial reports and analytics.
Assist in configuring electronic bank statements within SAP.
Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Support businesses with multi-currency transactions.
Work with SAP tables (COEP and GLPCA) to extract data for reporting tools like Adaptive Planning.
Utilize SECATT for automating AP invoice uploads and other data management tasks.
Training & Compliance:
Provide training on both existing and new SAP processes to end users.
Ensure compliance with 5S standards for maintaining organized and efficient workspaces.
Additional Duties:
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
Occasionally travel to remote offices in Canada, Mexico, or Taiwan (up to 2 weeks at a time, as needed).
What You'll Need
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field (required).
MBA, CPA, or additional ERP/SAP training (preferred).
Experience:
1-3 years of MRP/ERP experience.
Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules (required).
Participation in at least one full life cycle SAP implementation (required).
Previous experience in an SAP support role or as a functional super user.
At least 2 years of accounting experience.
Technical Skills & Other Requirements:
Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Windows servers, networking, and PC hardware.
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP-related issues.
Effective communication and training skills to support end users.
