About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join a well-established commercial real estate firm in downtown Honolulu. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team while managing the financial reporting and accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for assigned commercial properties.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Manage general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Maintain property budgets and forecasts, assisting with variance analysis.
• Collaborate with property managers and leadership to support financial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements, property taxes, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of commercial property accounting experience required.
• Proficiency in cash and accrual accounting methods.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with property management accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
