Job Description

SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a Physical Security Specialist to oversee security, safety and facilities management at a 40,000+ square foot office facility for a prominent Financial Services Company in Miami, FL.
 
The role encompasses physical security services for personnel and property protection, perimeter defense and physical access control, and facilities management duties. 
 
What You'll Do:
  • Coordinates, implements, monitors and enforces site security and safety for protection of personnel, guests and physical assets.
  • Fosters a culture of awareness of and compliance with physical security and safety policies.
  • Assists to develop and update physical security and safety policies, including implementation and budgeting.
  • Maintains comprehensive plans for various incident responses.
  • Organizes and assesses emergency response planning and drills.
  • Monitors Company employee and visitor facilities access.
  • Monitors security equipment.
  • Plans and provides physical security and safety-related training for employees.
  • Monitors and responds to physical security, medical emergency and safety incidents or hazards on Company premises.
  • Coordinates as needed with Local, State and Federal law enforcement regarding Company physical security and safety.
  • Monitors and coordinates with building management and independent contractors for the maintenance and repair of facility.
  • Assists with office and inventory management.
  • Reports to Company’s Director of Physical Safety & Security.
 
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of law enforcement, military or other relevant experience.
  • Florida Class G Statewide Firearms License (or qualified to obtain license).
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
