Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Location: MGRM Pinnacle / Pinnacle Charter Schools – Tempe, AZ (Full-Time, On-site )

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our close-knit team. In this critical role, you'll manage all aspects of payroll processing, employment taxes, compliance reporting, and benefits administration. Additionally, due to the size of our organization, this role will also involve providing general support to HR-related functions such as on-boarding, off-boarding, maintaining employee records, and basic employee relations activities. Your expertise will ensure our payroll operations run smoothly and our team receives reliable support for all benefit-related matters.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Handle payroll tax responsibilities, including timely reporting, filing, and reconciliations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with ACA, EEOC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to support accurate record-keeping and internal reporting.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in payroll and benefits systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Continuously improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including on-boarding, off-boarding, and basic employee relations support.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll processing, employment tax, and benefits regulations.
  • Proven experience with payroll software; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Experience or willingness to perform basic HR administrative tasks as required.
