Manager, Apparel Designer - Jewelry 

Position is Onsite: New York, New York

As a Jewelry Designer at Walmart, you will be at the forefront of building trend driven, customer-centric private brand assortments under the guidance of the Design Director. You will collaborate with internal/external partners to co-create commercially dynamic product lines across women’s, kids and men’s. Your role involves extensive trend and market research, concept support, category direction from concept to production, cross-functional collaboration, supplier partnership, line curation and calendar adherence.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive market and trend research; be the expert in your categories!
  • Design and execute industry-leading, highly functional styles that reflect Walmart’s design ethos and meet our customers’ needs.
  • Drive successful co-creation and build strong supplier relationships. Support the process with collaborative discussions, product reviews, and cost/IMU analysis of individual products.
  • Create dynamic digital presentations that clearly communicate big ideas and key category shifts. Ensure the work puts the customer at the forefront while aligning to brand guardrails and division strategies.
  • Demonstrate a sharp understanding of jewelry development to communicate effectively with PD, suppliers, factories, and 3D teams.
  • Utilize category expertise to develop and curate commercially viable product lines across private brands in partnership with the design director, merchants, and product development.
  • Harmonize commerciality with innovation and line plan adherence. Understand the importance of running a high-volume business and reacting to market shifts and consumer trends.
  • Be curious and embrace new ways of working.
  • Exhibit organization and clear communication to thrive in a high-paced work environment.
  • Adhere to an advanced multi-track calendar and meet all business-critical deadlines.
  • Drive team collaboration within a multifaceted organization, ensure your partners are connected and up to date across Product Development, Merchandising, Planning and Supplier.
  • Drive and/or support sustainability efforts in 3D design, material innovation and sample ratio management.
  • Proficient in Illustrator and collaborative tools like Miro. AI and 3D experience welcome.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
