Job Description

Job Title: Live-in Domestic Assistant

Location: Palm Beach, FL / New York 

Seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Live-In Domestic Assistant to provide dedicated support for a wonderful client splitting their time between Florida and New York. Living in Florida, December through mid-June and the rest of the time in New York, with occasional travel to the Hamptons. This position combines personalized assistance and housekeeping to ensure a well-functioning household. The ideal candidate will be organized, discreet, take initiative, and able to handle a range of responsibilities efficiently. 

Responsibilities: 

Light Housekeeping and Laundry (family employs deep cleaner once a week)

• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a welcoming living space. Predominately, the principal’s living quarters. 

• Handle laundry duties, including sorting, washing, ironing, mending, and organizing clothes. Travel: 

• Provide assistance during travel to ensure a comfortable experience. 

• Wardrobe planning for travel, packing and unpacking clothes and items. • Shipping of items to principal’s other residences. 

Food and Beverage: 

• Light meal prep, considering dietary preferences. 

• Plan and execute grocery shopping trips. 

• Food and beverage service. 

• Ensure the dining areas are clean and orderly. 

• Assist the Chef with events. 

Errands: 

• Run errands, including picking up household and personal items, as needed. • Grocery shopping to ensure the availability of household essentials such as kitchen and cleaning supplies. 

Scheduling and Vendors: 

• Schedule and act as the point of contact for vendors and building management. • Supervise vendors for maintenance, cable repairs, and deliveries etc. 

• Schedule doctors and hair appointments. 

• Make reservations for dinner and entertainment. 

Qualifications: 

Experience: 

• Proven experience in housekeeping and personal assistant roles, specifically in a private residence. 

• Familiarity with meal preparation and service. 

• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. 

• Knowledge of mending clothes and handling fine garments. 

Organizational Skills: 

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. 

• Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative. 

• Ability to plan and pack efficiently for travel. 

• Time-management skills. 

Communication: 

• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. 

• Professional and effective interaction with other household staff members, guests, vendors, and service providers.

Flexibility: 

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic household environment. 

• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. 

• Comfortable traveling between Florida and New York. 

Personal Attributes: 

• Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. • Discreet: Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. 

• Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to the unique preferences and needs of the principal. 

Requirements: 

• Possession of a valid driver's license. 

• Experience working in similar roles. 

Schedule: 

• Weekends and 3 weekdays (2 days off during the week - days TBD) 

• 9:30AM – 5:30PM 

Salary: 

• Competitive salary, DOE
