Responsibilities:
✔ Provide advanced chairside support to pediatric dentists during a variety of procedures including exams, cleanings, sealants, restorative treatments, and behavior management techniques.
✔ Mentor and train junior dental assistants, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to pediatric care protocols.
✔ Prepare and maintain a child-friendly clinical environment, including sterilization of instruments and organization of treatment rooms.
✔ Take high-quality pediatric radiographs and assist with charting, documentation, and treatment planning.
✔ Help ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating with front office and other clinical team members.
✔ Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
What You Bring:
✔ Certification from an accredited dental assisting program; CDA or RDA preferred.
✔ 2+ years of pediatric dental assisting experience (preferred).
✔ Strong understanding of pediatric dental procedures, child behavior, and age-appropriate communication.
✔ Proficiency in dental software systems like Dentrix Ascend (a plus!).
✔ Friendly, energetic personality with a passion for working with children.
