Inventory Coordinator

Location : Gardena, CA (Hybrid – 2x/week onsite + every other Friday)

Pay : $20.00–$25.00/hr DOE

Type : Temporary – 6-month contract, potential for extension or hire

About the Opportunity

Join a national food distribution company that plays a critical role in supplying high-quality goods to government and military partners across the U.S. As they move through a major ERP transition, they're looking for a sharp, organized Inventory Coordinator to help keep their operations running smoothly.

This is a clerical, system-heavy inventory role. No forklifts or warehouse walking, but a high-impact position supporting multiple 3PL and in-house warehouse partners remotely. If you're someone who thrives in Excel, can spot a data mismatch from a mile away, and likes keeping things organized and accurate, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reconcile weekly inventory reports from 3PL and in-house warehouse partners
  • Match data line-by-line across systems and spreadsheets, verifying lot numbers, dates, and quantities
  • Investigate and follow up on discrepancies, coordinating with warehouse partners for cycle counts and corrections
  • Manage product reservations for outgoing orders, ensuring everything is accounted for and ready to ship
  • Support monthly inventory consolidation by comparing and validating reports across sites
  • Collaborate with internal teams (buyers, account managers, logistics) to support inbound and outbound accuracy
  • Navigate multiple systems, including Excel and two ERP platforms (in transition to Aptean)

Who You Are

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle shifting priorities without dropping the ball
  • Excel-savvy. You're comfortable with large spreadsheets, pivot tables, and v-lookups
  • Experienced in inventory coordination, logistics support, or similar clerical ops roles
  • Quick to adapt and not afraid to ask questions when something looks off
  • Strong communicator. Able to manage cross-functional updates and follow through

The Setup

  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday/Thursday and every other Friday (after training period)
  • Initial onboarding 100% onsite in Gardena for the first month.
  • 6-month temp assignment to support ERP transition. Strong performers may be considered for other long-term roles within the org

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with 3PL partners or food distribution environments
  • Familiarity with ERP transitions or dual-system environments
  • Ability to confidently prioritize urgent requests without losing track of longer tasks
