Job Summary

We are seeking an Instructional Designer to develop and implement dynamic, engaging learning experiences across various environments. This role will be responsible for instructional design, project management, and learning technology administration, ensuring that training content is both effective and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and e-learning development tools.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Development

• Apply a systems approach to instructional design and performance improvement projects across diverse learning environments.
• Analyze needs assessments to recommend the most effective instructional strategies and solutions.
• Design and develop on-demand, virtual, and instructor-led training, including e-learning courses, simulations, videos, assessments, certifications, and job aids.
• Create instructional assets such as outlines, storyboards, lesson plans, scripts, and multimedia content.
• Apply adult learning theories and hands-on learning practices to optimize engagement and retention.
• Develop reliable and valid methods to assess learning effectiveness and performance improvement.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with Marcomm’s process and design standards.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business leaders, and cross-functional teams to develop training solutions that meet business needs.
• Facilitate content reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and ensure quality control in all deliverables.
• Stay current with emerging learning technologies and industry best practices to enhance training solutions.

LMS Administration & Technology

• Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including course setup, enrollment, and user permissions.
• Troubleshoot LMS-related technical issues and provide user support.
• Ensure that LMS content is optimized for accessibility, user experience, and mobile compatibility.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in instructional design, including applying sound methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Proficiency in e-learning development tools, such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and Adobe Captivate.
• Strong foundation in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theories.
• Experience designing interactive digital learning materials using multimedia elements like videos, simulations, and gamification.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables across teams.
• Proficiency in graphic design, video editing, and audio production for e-learning content.
• Strong communication, creative thinking, and process improvement skills.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, HTML, and LMS platforms.

Preferred Skills & Additional Experience

• Experience in professional audio production, voiceovers, and advanced video editing.
• Ability to develop visually appealing graphics, illustrations, and multimedia assets for online courses.
• Knowledge of on-page SEO for training content.
• Experience with corporate training governance and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and learning analytics.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
