Are you a well-rounded HR professional passionate about creating meaningful workplace experiences? Our client, a respected nonprofit organization making a difference in the community, is seeking an HR Generalist to handle a variety of human resources functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in supporting a mission-driven team while contributing to impactful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
+ Support payroll administration and benefits management, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
+ Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with nonprofit-specific labor laws and regulations.
+ Assist managers and employees with HR-related inquiries, offering guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
+ Manage performance review processes, including training for supervisors and employees.
+ Coordinate training and development programs to support employee growth and engagement.
+ Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by helping foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace.
+ Assist with special HR projects, including policy development and process improvements.
Requirements
+ 3+ years of HR experience, ideally as an HR Generalist in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
+ Solid knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including nonprofit compliance requirements.
+ Proficiency in HRIS platforms and the ability to manage records digitally.
+ Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with employees at all levels.
+ Strong sense of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
+ PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus but not required.
