Job Description
A valued client of ours is looking for an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator for commercial and light industrial projects. We are a local company seeking a candidate interested in growing with the company, implementing new procedures, and willing to learn. Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are critical.
Responsibilities
* Determine the scope of work by reviewing bid documents and attending pre-bid meetings
* Perform accurate takeoffs and quantify estimates.
* Obtain quotes as needed from subcontractors and vendors.
* Determine which vendors and subcontractors to use on the projects.
* Develop a project schedule for each project.
* Attend project meetings throughout the job.
* Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
* Safety and quality conscious.
* Communicate with team members and trade partners.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience with a proven track record.
* Prior electrical field experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Accubid, Bluebeam, Conest, or McCormick estimating software
* High level of organization and planning abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Team player with a positive attitude and is self-motivated.
* Knowledge of construction practices and methods.
