We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SMCS-Sutter Med Center - Sacramento **Position Overview:** The EKG Technician plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of cardiovascular diagnostic services within the Non-Invasive Cardiology department. This position is responsible for performing outpatient EKGs and processing EKGs performed across hospital nursing units, including monitoring worklists and ensuring timely documentation. In addition to clinical tasks, the EKG Technician provides clerical and administrative support for echocardiography services, such as answering phone calls, scheduling outpatient echo appointments, and dispatching cardiac sonographers for inpatient and procedural coverage. The ideal candidate brings a solid cardiovascular background paired with strong clerical and communication skills. Performs routine and specialized non-invasive cardiac procedures as ordered by the physician for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results to physician in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication.
