Job Summary:

• Develops and implements departmental goals, aligning with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.

• Oversees operations, including patient care, technology, service levels, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality objectives.

• Manages staffing activities: hiring, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ongoing education.

• Prepares and monitors departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.

• Coordinates internal and external audits.

• Creates an environment that encourages professional growth.

• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (BSN preferred); Master's Degree highly preferred.

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • BLS required.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required.

  • Current NC RN licensure required.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred.
