Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will support daily administrative and data entry tasks while ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions. Responsibilities: - Accurately input and maintain financial data such as accounts payable and receivable transactions. - Perform data entry tasks with precision and efficiency, including spreadsheet updates and database management. - Assist in matching purchase orders to invoices and verifying payment details. - Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for easy retrieval. - Handle scanning and digitization of documents to ensure accurate record-keeping. - Communicate effectively via email and other channels to address inquiries and provide updates. - Support the preparation of financial documents and calculations as needed. - Ensure compliance with company procedures and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. - Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborate with team members to improve processes and maintain operational efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or data entry roles, preferably in a financial setting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for managing and organizing data. - Strong data entry skills, including typing and 10-key proficiency. - Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and effectively. - Excellent organizational skills for managing files and records. - Experience with scanning and digitization processes. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing calculations and entering data. - Effective customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
